10/23

I'm going to pretend it's 22 minutes earlier than it actually is, because I'd like to wish the world a Happy Mole Day!

That reminds me... I should go do my science homework sometime soon. Lots of HW, stress, and other things, and not enough time or energy to deal with it.

But right now I'm too excited after buying tickets to see Mew this December and embracing the coming weekend! Yay for nights with more than 6 hours of sleep! :D

IB is a time consuming demon.
Procrastination is a wonderful thing
I don't have time for this.

BTW

Just on a side note, I've been thinking about redoing the site layout again. It's been the same since last summer and I feel it needs some renovation. So while I had that idea in mind I also decided to look through the other stuff on the site that also ought to be restructured. My little cleanup mission led me to "ye old archives of entries" I wrote several years ago, which turned out to be an extremely embarassing archive of entries. Christ... what kind of person would actually willingly give a stupid little 10 year old kid with the inability of stringing sentences together and use proper grammar and punctuation (well... I still don't know how the hell to use commas... )': their own blog to pollute the internet with mindless crap? I must have been a VERY DEMANDING child. That said, I think I deleted half my site yesterday.

However, I did come across an entry about a family trip to Forks/La Push some 4 or 5 years back. My sources tell me this was before the publication of a certain vampire romance novel. SUCK IT TWILIGHTERS

Do I Have Regrets?

IMG_2328.JPG

Hai. I realized I haven't posted anything since the MWM show... Well, that will definitely be changed soon since these past few weeks have been really intense.

I just came back from the Tori Amos concert in Seattle. Wow. Do I have regrets? Well, not yet. Ahahaha, definitely not. Pictures/videos SOON.

I also went to the Oregon coast for a week (for my friend's 16th birthday party). And at the moment my friend Amber is staying with us and we're going to fly to NY together to stay at her home for a week. Funfun!

Annnnnd, I also have pictures from the 4th of July fireworks show in Gas Works Park. Those will probably be up first and I'll try not to title the entry "lights in the sky"...

...Speaking of which. I think the last wave of nin shows ever have been announced. And WA isn't one of the stops. Fack :'(

I Want To Eat Your Artichoke Heart

(Someone needs to guess the song references in the title....)

Hah, I just realized I completely forgot of writing something last month. It's kind of silly, but I like having an entry at least once a month so my archives have all the months... but instead it goes straight from March to May. Damn.

Anyways, things have been really nice lately. I honestly couldn't ask for more at the moment... But that's all I'm saying on that matter :)

I think I'm going to just randomly spurt out a bunch of thoughts, so here we go.

Depeche Mode's new album "Sounds of the Universe"
Sounds of the Universe.jpg

Screw Rolling Stone. This was an amazing album. From beginning to end. Maybe it doesn't beat "Violator", but no ones expects DM to ever create another album that does.
My favourite songs would probably be "In Chains", an awesome album opener, "Wrong", their first single from the album, "Fragile Tension", "In Sympathy", a revisit to their classic sound, "Miles Away / The Truth", and "Jezebel".
They definitely entered some new territory in this album, very evident in tracks like "Spacewalker", "Perfect", and "Jezebel". I've heard plenty of "blahblah they've totally lost their edge" / "a real bore" but I really don't see this the same way. Listen to the album again. It definitely grew on me after the second listen. If you haven't already, at least listen to "Wrong". It's a pretty dark tune, and has an equally creepy video.

And... moving along to Tori Amos. As repulsive as the cover art is (well... not as "repulsive" as American Doll Posse, but it's giving me some serious Beekeeper vibes...), I'm really looking forward to the new album. I loved the free download of "Maybe California". Quite simple and sweet, and even better than "Welcome to England" in my opinion. She's playing WaMu Theater, Seattle this July. Waiting for tickets to go on sale...!

And speaking of concerts, I'm seeing Porcupine Tree this September :D I'm so excited for all these concerts! (Despite not getting to see nin again......)

I just finished reading "Feed" today. It's a really interesting story... sad ending though... And I'm still "The Shining". It's really retarded how I can't finish it. It's just not keeping me captivated like his other books for some reason. It seriously took HALF THE BOOK for something to happen. I haven't seen the movie before, so I still have hope that the ending won't be disappointing. I'm also going to reread "Rosemary's Baby", The Foundation Series, and I'd like to start another one of Sherman Alexie's books (WHY?! I don't know. Thanks, Flahiff -_-)...

I'm learning some new stuff on guitar. Lots more bending (which I need to work on..) and other fun things in lead parts. Right now I'm working on "Another Brick in the Wall" (Floyd, duh), "Something" (the Beatles), and "Angie" (the Rolling Stones.. LOVE THAT SONG). I'd record something, but it would be lame cause I can't play very well. I'll definitely record me playing "Winter" by Tori Amos on the piano when I get the chance. It's so damn pretty. I'm trying to learn "Horses" too, but I never get enough time on the piano. I NEED MY OWN KEYBOARD...

Annnnnnd, the other week, my mum and I went to Skagit Valley. I took a bunch of photos (on her NICE Nikon D200), but those will be coming sometime next month next week soon.... ;)

It just rained, but all the flowers are blooming and the trees are all full of leaves, . So, I think I'm going to get off my ass, stop writing all this, and do something with my life. BAI.

Inconsistency

Where do all the Cool Bloggers get their Cool Blogging Ideas from? Is there a single tree on a lone mountain in the middle of nowhere on which the most juicy Blogging Ideas grow? How can I get there? I need to know! Well... Maybe I just need to download the latest Cool software for my life.

By the way, don't watch the Matrix sequels. They kind of suck.

But "Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?" on the other hand, does not suck! Great album, check it out!

And that's it for now. I'm on break right now, so do expect future boredom induced, non-intelligent spastic posts within the next few days!

... happy holidays !

I kind of forgot about the whole holiday thing, and the fact that I should blog about it. Because that's what cool people do, apparently ;o) Anyways, happy holidays! This will probably be the last post of 2008.

Snowed In

Winter break basically started early for me this year. We had so much snow come in, we had three snow days in a row. It was nice to start the break early, but we are going to have to make up those days... :P
We got at least a foot of snow, more in some places. I wonder if it'll stay for Christmas... Anyways, here's a few picture from the past few days:

I'm licking a window

After 581379 years I finally went back to Legacy and had a riding lesson. And yes, I'm sore as hell, now be quiet. But it turns out that isn't the biggest tragedy. My dear Harry has apparently been returned to his owners without my knowledge, and Bullet got colic or something and they had to put him down (I'm not sure of the exact story). Yeah, I love you too world.

Oh, and it also appears that I cannot tell the difference between Gobbledigook and Hoppipolla. I'm so sorry Sigur Ros. Really, I am.

Ok, I'm done spamming my own blog. Be sure to come back soon, and be ready for some intensely interesting stuff, like my awesome spam mail, on this pitiful site right here, that probably gets less hits than some nerd's blog about his foot. Bye!

Happy Belated Beltane !

It's a few days late, but happy Beltane!

I have some riding pictures from last weekend that I'll try to get on here soon. I'm going riding today too. We got a new teacher again =p. I like her so far.
