Sam

Yesterday I had another lesson. I rode Sam, a new horse for me. Before I had only been riding Bullet. Sam is like the opposite of Bullet. He's got tons of energy, is fast, and really nice. Whenever you groom Bullet he moves around and tries to kick (he's thin-skinned), but Sam never does that. Sadly, we didn't jump today but hopefully we will next lesson. Today I was just learning to ride Sam, but I know how to ride him now. At first he wouldn't canter, but in the end I could get him to whenever I asked. We did a ton of cantering and practicing posting the first step back to trot from the canter so we would always be on the right diagonal. It's a pretty helpful trick.

Once again, I don't have any pictures because my parents went somewhere so I had to ride my bike to the barn and be there alone. My mom says she will come when it's sunny and we ride in the outside arena, but the sun has been hiding for a week!

~ Now that I think about it, I could sneak my camera into the barn and take pictures myself! :D
